The Friends of AK Press program is a way that you can directly impact the publishing program at AK Press. Friends pay a minimum (of course, we have no objection to larger sums) of $25 per month, for a minimum three month period, into our publishing account. In return, Friends automatically receive (for the duration of their membership), as they appear, one FREE copy of EVERY new AK Press title. Secondly, they are also entitled to a 20% discount on EVERYTHING featured in the AK Press Distribution catalog and on the website, on ANY and EVERY order. You'll also receive a stylish tote bag featuring our awesome Friends of AK Press logo designed by Josh MacPhee of Justseeds!
You can select several types of subscriptions from the drop down menu above. By choosing an "ongoing subscription" your credit card will be charged $25–50+ per month (you decide!!) until you decide to cancel your subscription. If you'd like to contribute more than the listed options please note that clearly in the comments section of your order.
You can also select a fixed term contribution of 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or 3 years. Your credit card will be charged only once.
You will not be charged shipping , despite what your "shopping cart" indicates.
Non-US customers please note that the minimum monthly subscription for you is $30 to help offset the outlandish price of mailing (usually between $10-15 per package). Also, if you sign up for a fixed terms (1 year, 3 year, etc.), you will be charged at that $30/month rate, so 1 year=$360... Apologies.
