ITEM OVERVIEW
Raw, gut-wrenching protest songs of toil, turmoil, and the American worker. This recording was originally issued at Guthrie's insistence, so that there be a series of records depicting the struggle of working people to realize their vision and to secure their rights. He dedicated these 12 songs to his wife Marjorie Guthrie and to Pete Seeger. Includes "Ludlow Massacre," "The Dying Miner," "Struggle Blues," "1913 Massacre," and "Union Burying Ground."
